Iris Tinloy, DDS
Dr. Iris Tinloy attended the University of the Pacific Accelerated Dental program in Stockton, where she received a B.S. in Biological Sciences in three years. She then attended the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where she obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
Dr. Tinloy continued her education by completing a one year General Practice Residency at the Community Medical Center in Fresno. During that residency, she gained experience in all aspects of general dentistry and became trained in hospital-based dentistry.
Dr. Tinloy was in private practice for the next three years in both San Jose and Stockton. Although she liked general dentistry, she realized that treating children was the most rewarding aspect of dentistry. She decided to advance her education by specializing in pediatric dentistry, so she could do what she loved every day.
Dr. Tinloy then completed her two-year Pediatric Dentistry Residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in New York. There, she received extensive training in all aspects of pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Tinloys goal is to create a positive dental experience for her patients and to ensure that they have the tools they need to attain a lifetime of dental health. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, reading, baking, watching movies, and exploring new restaurants with her husband. Dr. Tinloy is excited to be part of the Young Smiles team.
Professional interests include involvement in the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Dental Association, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and Southern Alameda County Dental Society.
